Business Incubator
HIPinc has won a competitive proposal for a Feasability Study, Business Plan, and Site Study for a Business Incubator in the Bitterroot Valley. One alternative to be studied is a Bio-Tech incubator anchored by the NIH Rocky Mountain Labs and the GSK lab and production facility. HIPinc recently returned from Denver, where project managers toured a similar bio-tech incubator.
The contract is with the Ravalli County Economic Development Authority.

Composite Wood Study
Composite Wood Products have found there way into the building trades. Chips and small diameter wood are used to make a commercial product, and are also the primary hazard fuel in wildfire. A recently completed HIPinc study found that while it is possible to make a profit with composite wood, the bottom line is still sensitive to transportation and raw material costs.
